" With the release of KDE Software Compilation 4.4, many may feel tempted to give KDE Plasma Desktop (previously known as just “KDE”, see Repositioning the KDE Brand) a try. Plasma Desktop introduced in KDE SC 4 behaves quite differently from other popular desktop workspaces, and without doubt many new users will feel slightly lost and confused the first time.

The KDE project developers have announced the availability of version 4.4 of the KDE Software Compilation (KDE SC), code named "Caikaku". The major update to the free open source K Desktop Environment (KDE) addresses a number of bugs and includes several translation updates, stability improvements and new features.

OpenOffice.org Thumbnail plugin is a plugin for KDE file managers (Dolphin and Konqueror) to preview OpenOffice.org files (OpenDocument Format) as Thumbnails. You do not need to install OpenOffice.org for it to work (it only uses KDE API).

I think a lot of people are looking for this thumbnailer. This thumbnailer will help you to get a quick  glance at your OpenOffice.org's OpenDocument files.
Here is how the thumbnails look like in action:

ImagePerhaps you know how mount ISO image by commend line. However, If you are lazy - like me - to use Konsole, Silicon is a good choice for this task. I tried Furius ISO before, but I don't like it because it lacks KDE4's integration.

Silicon is an auto image manager and mounter (Iso, Squashfs and ... files) that work under GNU/Linux. It is released under GPL License.

Silicon has many features like:
- Automatic Mount : Silicon can autofind a mountpoint for your images and mount there.
