A lot of people don't know that they can change their desktop wallpaper automatically by very easy steps in KDE. For the gnome's user, I think they need to install a program for doing this. As usual, this method are applicable for all KDE distributions.

1- From desktop, click right button and choose “Desktop Activity Settings”:

2- Then choose “SlideShow” in Type box.

3- Adjust the period of how frequently you want to change the wallpaper. You can add as many wallpaper folders as you wish. Also, you can get new wallpapers directly from the internet.

Now, KDE can impress you more. What about change your wallpaper according to the weather? What if you want to display the globe in your desktop and see where are the day and night around the world? What about just plain color? All these options are provided by KDE FOR FREE. Just check the required package in your distribution.

Enjoy the freedom in KDE.
