Finally, KompoZer 0.8 enters beta stage. The new feature in the 0.8 are:

• FTP support
• syntax highlighting in split view
• ability to edit text files
• better PHP support on GNU/Linux
• new SVG icon
• new UUID

If you do not know KomoZer. KompoZer is a complete web authoring system that combines web file management and easy-to-use WYSIWYG web page editing. It is based on the now-discontinued Nvu editor. KompoZer is maintained as a community-driven fork and is a project on Sourceforge.
