Perhaps you know how mount ISO image by commend line. However, If you are lazy - like me - to use Konsole, Silicon is a good choice for this task. I tried Furius ISO before, but I don't like it because it lacks KDE4's integration.
Silicon is an auto image manager and mounter (Iso, Squashfs and ... files) that work under GNU/Linux. It is released under GPL License.
Silicon has many features like:
- Automatic Mount : Silicon can autofind a mountpoint for your images and mount there.
- Manual Mount : If you don't like AutoMount, you can use manual mount or single mount in environment to mount your files manually .
- Easy Mount : just you should click on your iso files to mount and re-click to unmount.
- Manager GUI : You can manage your mounted images from Silicon Manager GUI.
Silicon Manager GUI
- Knotify : If you use kde, you can set silicon to show notifies with knotify.Just you should go to" Settings > configure silicon " and checked " use knotify .... ".
RapidSilicon Manager
- Run Root : Don't need to run silicon as root. If silicon required root permission, asks your password.
- Image Library : You can manage all your CD/DVD images easily with silicon.
Image Library
- Easy Tagger : It's an UI to make easy tagging your CD/DVD Images.
Easy Tagger
- Setup Wizard : Silicon Wizard Help you to Easy Configure silicon.
Silicon Wizard
Personally, I like it's integration with KDE 4, and there is no surprise if you know that silicon is built on Qt4. You can download silicon source code from here, until silicon developers fix the main server's problems.
About Silicon
How to compile silicon :
It's so easy. First of all the requisite install g++ and qt4 development files and after extracting silicon from the archive and switch silicon folder through the terminal, run :
* make
* make install
Make command must be run as root.
Finally, if you know another program for ISO mounting, please share it with us.

Thank goodness. I dual boot
